- This is a great book that discusses some of the less well known reasons that our economy has been struggling over the past decade.

- In it, Dale Halling discusses how per capita GDP is closely correlated with new technological innovations and how the pace of innovation has slowed over the past decade.
- He then clearly shows how a number of things especially decreased patent allowance rates and Sarbannes Oxley legislation have severely inhibited innovation due to the very negative impact they have had on availability of intellectual, financial, and human capital.
- In the final chapters he has some excellent suggestions for actions that need to be taken to remedy these problems.
